E21: R Programming for Analytical Chemistry

The R computer language has become a premier language for scientific data analysis.  This course will present the fundamentals of R utilizing the easily accessed and free RStudio Cloud.  The use of R to  simulate, analyze, and visualize experimental data will be explored.  Participants will have literature based, hands-on experience with linear, non-linear, and  partial least squares regression, and Monte-Carlo analysis

This course is suitable for anyone desiring to get a solid introduction to R programming and available statistical packages.

Dr. David Gosser is  a Professor of Chemistry at the City College of New York, specializing in Electrochemical  Analysis and Chemical Education. He is author of a widely cited monograph and included computer program CVSIM  “Cyclic Voltammetry: Simulation and Analysis of Reaction Mechanisms” (1445 Google Citations)  and is the founder of the “Peer-led Team Learning” (PLTL) model for teaching and learning Chemistry.
