\"\"<\/a>Message from the Program Chair<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Eastern Analytical Symposium has been a center of innovative science and practical solutions for the analytical community for greater than 50 years.\u00a0 The symposium offers a wonderful opportunity to present and hear a diverse scientific program dedicated to analytical sciences.\u00a0\u00a0 This coming November we are presenting a program focused on Analytical in Motion: Knowledge, Network, and Career.\u00a0 We have implemented a few changes for the 2013 meeting that I am excited to share with you.<\/p>\n

Plenary Lecture<\/b>:\u00a0 Monday afternoon our 2013 Field\u2019s award winner Dr. Irving Wainer from the National Institute on Aging\/NIH is presenting a general interest presentation entitled:\u00a0When Someone Says “Everybody Knows That …” Stop Listening! Adventures in Basic and Translational Research<\/b>.\u00a0 We are encouraging all EAS participants to attend and have structured the schedule to allow for full participation.\u00a0 There will be a time of networking with refreshments to follow and opportunity for the EAS to come together as a community regardless of our individual specialties.\u00a0 I highly encourage you to attend this thought-provoking presentation.<\/p>\n

Poster Sessions:<\/b>\u00a0 We have changed the layout of the exposition center to make the poster sessions more interactive and visible.\u00a0 The posters are being relocated to a larger space in the center of the exhibit hall and will remain up throughout the day.\u00a0 Authors will be present at their poster for a specified period to encourage scientific discussion.<\/p>\n

Finally I want to thank everyone who submitted abstracts for the technical program.\u00a0 Your dedication to innovative science and a desire to interact with the greater analytical community will make this year\u2019s technical program a success.<\/p>\n
