Technology is coming to poster presentations. EAS will be switching to electronic posters (ePosters) for the 2018 symposium.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What&#8217;s an ePoster? Our colleague Justin Pennington gave us a demo the other day. The poster is displayed on a large TV screen instead of being printed on paper and pinned to a poster board. The effect was quite pleasant and the info was easy to read; there is the option to zoom in and out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Electronic posters at the 2018 EAS will be static only, basically only skipping the printing step. <strong>In the future<\/strong>, we can envision that new options will open up beyond simply displaying text and graphs or photos. One can imagine starting a video right from the poster or zooming in on a graph to display it in greater details. The presentation can become much more interactive and fun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For those of us new to the concept of ePosters, there are plenty of resources on the internet, including examples of ePosters, and poster templates.
