My year as President has been a very rewarding experience. I am grateful for the support of our speakers, presenters, exhibitors, instructors, sponsors and all who attended and participated. As I close the 2013 chapter for EAS, I have a better appreciation of the diversity of analytical chemistry fields and their contributions to our daily lives. I hope you enjoyed EAS this year as much as I did. In 3 short days, EAS brought together scientists from multiple disciplines and provided a special place for innovation, problem solving, and discovery. Mark your calendar for EAS 2014 to explore “The Art and Science of Analysis” under the leadership of Dr. Anne-FranÇoise Aubry.

On behalf of the EAS Governing Board, I’d like to thank you for your support in making EAS 2013 such a success! EAS will continue to find ways to serve the analytical community. We will work to provide a place for cross-disciplinary professionals to learn and develop their interests as well as expand their contact network.

For now, join us on LinkedIn and share your EAS experiences. We hope to see you again in 2014!
