Welcome to EAS 2021!! Please join us this November as we celebrate the 60th Jubilee Anniversary of EAS! The theme for this year is “Curiosity, Chemistry, and Perseverance”, a tribute to the science of both the Curiosity and Perseverance Mars Rovers, and reflective of the human desire for truth and knowledge through science, despite recent challenges and adversity. We hope that you will help us celebrate this year at the Crowne Plaza, Princeton, NJ from November 15-17, 2021.
Our Symposium will feature presentations on the data and analytical findings from the Martian Rovers and information on the Imaging, Raman and X-ray probes all currently present on the Perseverance Rover. Perseverance successfully landed on Mars on February 18 2021. CNN has a great article about the Jezero Crater, the landing site for Perseverance. The article talks about the chemical evidence that led NASA to pick this location and the chemistry-related exploration that will take place to search for signs of organic material that could give some clues as to whether there was life on Mars. Here is a link to an interesting interview about the search for life on Mars.
We look forward to welcoming you this November as we celebrate 60 years of Curiosity, Chemistry, and Perseverance!
