One-Day Course
Sunday, Nov. 17; 8:30am – 5:00pm
Dr. Damodaran Achary, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh PA
COURSE DESCRIPTION
NMR spectroscopy is a powerful analytical tool. There are multitude of techniques suitable for many analytical problems beyond routine 1H/13C spectra. This course will focus on practical skills related to acquiring and interpreting NMR data without hardcore theory/equations. Tips and tricks for acquisition and data processing to get the best out of your spectrometer will be taught. Interpretation of 1D & 2D data to assign functional groups, atom connectivity and structural assignment will be shown. Learn to choose the right experiments for your problem. Overall, this course will prepare you to engage the spectrometer and analyze NMR data with confidence.
