
Professor Xin Yan is an associate professor of chemistry at Texas A&M University and holds the endowed Ray A. Rothrock ’77 Faculty Research Fellowship. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry with Prof. Graham Cooks from Purdue University and pursued postdoctoral research with Prof. Richard Zare at Stanford University before joining Texas A&M in 2018. Her research focuses on reactive microdroplet mass spectrometry, developing innovative strategies to advance lipidomics and accelerate the discovery of transition metal catalysis. Dr. Yan’s work has been recognized with numerous prestigious honors, including the National Science Foundation CAREER award, National Institutes of Health MIRA (Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award), Sloan Research Fellowship, ACS Arthur F. Findeis Award, Emerging Innovator Award from the IUPAC, and the ASMS Research Award. As a dedicated educator, she received the Montague Center for Teaching Excellence Scholar Award and the Association of Former Students College-Level Distinguished Teaching Award.
