Contributed Speaker Guidelines

Contributed Speaker Guidelines for the
In-Person Eastern Analytical Symposium

The following Guidelines have been prepared based upon the experiences of prior EAS meetings. Please pay close attention to the details below to ensure a successful presentation of your work, and a more enjoyable experience for you and your audience.

The following audio-visual equipment will be provided for your use in oral sessions:

  • One screen
  • A projector which interfaces with a laptop computer for Powerpoint presentations.

Note that EAS will NOT be providing the laptop computer. Please bring your own laptop or check with your session chair about sharing one laptop.

Click here for Registration details and housing information.  All contributed speakers must register for EAS by October 15 to confirm your presentation in the Technical Program.  Speakers giving an oral presentation must register as a “Full-Conferee” or “Full-Time Student Conferee” (student ID required) or be registered as Exhibitor Staff in order to present.  Poster presenters can register as Exposition/Networking/Posters Only Attendee or be registered as Exhibitor Staff. Please note the Exposition/Networking/Poster Only Attendee registration does not give you access to the oral presentations.  Contributed speakers must pay for their travel and registration expenses.

Photography & Cell Phone Use
The use of cameras, video cameras and cell phones is not permitted during program sessions. Cameras are permitted on the exhibit floor; however, permission from the exhibitors involved must be obtained before photographs of booths or their contents may be taken.  We also do not permit handouts to be distributed during the session unless requested by an attendee at the end of the session or during the break.

If you or a co-author are unable to participate, please inform Bernadette Taylor at askEAS@EAS.org as soon as possible.
